Ballet’s not just for kids and pros. It’s time for you to step up to the barre!

Challenge your mind and stretch your body in our adult ballet classes! Our expert instructor, Beverly Holskin, brings more than 20 years of experience teaching classical ballet to our beginner-friendly program. Unlike many of our other classes that use dance as a fun vehicle for cardio conditioning, you’ll have the opportunity to work on technique — and some serious lower body strength — in ballet.

TUESDAYS at 7 pm

Barre Fit
Barre Fit

Barre fitness is all the rage and for good reason! It’s an extremely effective way to tighten up your core and lower body. In Barre Fit, you’ll use ballet-inspired movements to build strength, stamina and flexibility, with an emphasis on fitness conditioning. Expect a mix of isometric barre exercises, cardio dance movements and Pilates targeting your glutes, quads, hamstrings, inner thighs, calves and abs.

Since we love dancing, we incorporate a few dance phrases in between exercises to give those shaking muscles a break. Class may also incorporate light weights and core exercises on the floor, so bring a mat (or feel free to borrow one of ours).

No prior ballet or dance experience is necessary. Just get ready to redefine your body, improve your posture and push your muscles to the max. See you at the barre!

WEDNESDAYS at 6 pm

Amp up your heart rate as you jam to all the latest hits!

You want high energy? You got it. With all the latest upbeat songs to keep you going, you may not notice how hard you’re working…at least, not until you try to sing along and realize that you can’t!

Like Zumba, you don’t need to remember steps — just follow the instructor. While she may break down a few of the more complicated moves, you’ll never stop dancing in order to keep your heart working. Expect a mix of high and medium intensity choreography, with some routines focused on cardio dance and others on strengthening and sculpting. Expect squats, lunges, standing abs, arm exercises and more.

Burn calories as you bust a move to hot hip-hop songs!

If dancing at a nightclub is your idea of fun, this is the perfect workout for you! 

While you may learn progressive choreography in these classes, the focus is more on keeping the heart rate up than perfecting technique. And, like most of our programs, no dance experience is required. Swag is optional, too.

Pound Fitness

Unleash your rock-band dreams in this addictive fusion of movement and drumming. This full-body cardio jam session combines lightly weighted exercise drumsticks called Ripstix® with constant simulated drumming. Expect a mix of cardio, Pilates, isometric poses and plyometrics that will strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles and help you POUND off pounds while rocking out to great music.

Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences to maximize efficiency. By the end of class, you’ll have done 15,000 reps, performed more than 30 extended interval peaks and zipped through some 70 techniques without even realizing it.
